Why Counselling?
During our lives, we meet many challenges and difficulties. Sometimes these worries pass and we can move on, at other times they are harder to understand. This can leave us feeling confused, anxious, isolated or depressed and may prevent us from living to our potential. Difficulties may include:
  • Relationships
  • Depression, anxiety, stress or panic attacks
  • Times of transition such as adolescence or mid-life
  • Bullying or being mentally or physically abused
  • Problems at work
  • Loss of direction in life
  • Blocks to creativity
  • Eating disorders
  • Bereavement and loss
There is no growth without pain, no birth without suffering. But there are so few places where that can be honoured and so to have the attention of someone who doesn’t ridicule, criticize or try to fix things can be a balm to the soul. Counselling is an intervention which can help bring about constructive change; such as by transforming unsupportive patterns of behaviour, coming to terms with loss or healing the traumas of our personal history. It can help you discover your own answers, leading to a greater sense of choice in your life and perhaps a deeper understanding of your journey.
