I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist and counsellor working in St Albans, Hertfordshire. I have a Post-Diploma in Psychotherapy and am a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am also a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I adhere to its Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
It can be difficult to decide whether counselling is right for you and it is natural to feel anxious and unsure. It is very important to find a counsellor who you feel you can trust and work with. I therefore encourage an initial assessment consultation so that we can meet before any further decision is made. Counselling can provide a safe place in which to tell our story, to explore the things that we are finding difficult at the moment, and to have the experience of really being heard by someone else.
My counselling diplomas are in Integrative Psychosynthesis from a training centre called Re.Vision. I am committed to maintaining my professional development and have on-going training. I receive independent supervision and support on a regular basis in order to maintain and enhance good practice. I am also a member of the Therapeia Group, a small group of counsellors and psychotherapists who practice in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. My practice is a short distance from Hemel Hempstead, Hatfield, Harpenden and Watford.
