My name is Michael Fairbairn and I am a qualified counsellor working in St Albans, Hertfordshire and West London.

It can be difficult to decide whether counselling is right for you and it is natural to feel anxious and unsure. It is very important to find a counsellor who you feel you can trust and work with. I therefore encourage an initial assessment consultation so that we can meet before any further decision is made.

I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I adhere to its Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

My counselling diploma is in Integrative Psychosynthesis from a training centre called Re.Vision. I am committed to maintaining my professional development and have on-going training. I receive independent supervision and support on a regular basis in order to maintain and enhance good practice. I am also a member of the Therapeia Group, a small group of counsellors and psychotherapists who practice in the area.
